SAS Pentathlon

The 47th International SAS Pentathlon will take place between March 13-15, 2026 in Grindelwald. Run by SAS (Swiss Academic Ski Club), the idea of the SAS Pentathlon apparently originated in the Scottish Highlands and was brought to Switzerland in 1978.
The SAS Pentathlon is a 3-person team event, with each competitor starting in each event, which is open to all abilities in which you will compete in the following disciplines:
- Giant-Slalom (approx. 1:00 min.)
- Ski-Jump (2 jumps only for distance, normal skis and bindings allowed)
- Target Curling (8 stones)
- Cross-Country on skis (approx. 5 km)
- Swimming (66.67 m free style)
Acknowledging the strength of the Swiss franc, SAS will kindly waive the entry fee for teams from aboard.
