RACING
THE FOCUS OF THE KANDAHAR SINCE 1924
Ski racing the Kandahar way encourages participation in the best tradition of amateur sport, and newcomers to competitive skiing are welcomed warmly to the Club's annual races by our experienced campaigners.
Skiers of all standards enjoy competing in the Kandahar's relaxed Slalom, Giant Slalom and team parallel race. These, and other fun Club events and competitions, take place in the Club's home of Mürren which sees members get together for energetic holidays of skiing, race-training, racing and parties, including the legendary Inferno week.
Other highlights of the Kandahar winter calendar include team participation in the Amateur Inter-Club Championships (AICC), the SAS Penthalon and the Scaramanga Rope Race.
The Kandahar strives to cater for our members' quest for self-improvement and offers ski race training for adults and for young people during the season.
