Farewell to dr liv byrom
31st March 1989 to 8th June 2018
"IF YOU CAN SUCCEED IN MAKING SOME SMALL CORNER OF THE WORLD INTO A HAPPIER PLACE BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED THERE, THEN YOU HAVE DONE WELL"
We want to pay tribute to Liv Byrom who meant so much to the Kandahar family and who touched all our lives – as we know she made the world a happier place just by being there.
In a few short years Liv made a remarkable impact on the Kandahar and Mürren. She was one of those people who step up, go above and beyond, take charge, take the initiative and be totally reliable. She stepped up with gusto to the Vice Captaincy, with a beaming smile and a Whatsapp group. Added to this, Liv had charisma - she made people want to follow her and made them feel good about doing so. In in this way she brought a refreshing new style that breathed new life into the Club.
Liv was an inspiration to many people, and she made everyone feel as if they had a special connection with her. She seemed to be on the same wavelength with everyone despite generation gaps both young and old. She would make new friends and help others with new friendships. She would walk around with a big smile on her face and make people feel welcome. She would get folks together, promise to stay in touch, actually stay in touch and then organise the next gathering.
She was a star. We will miss her greatly.
